Our History
After retiring from a private job, my father, Audil Pasha, was keen to venture into farming, more as a post retirement passion than anything else. He spent the first few months researching on Red Lady 786 papaya over the internet. After seeing several videos and speaking to many suppliers of Red Lady 786 papaya seeds, he finally decided to set up a small farm as a pilot project.
In the next few months, he leased around 5 acres of land in a small village in Andhra Pradesh and got started. Around four thousand saplings of high quality were procured from a reputed company in Madhya Pradesh and planted with volumes of around 800 plants per acre. The next 8 months, he spent half of each month at the farm and remaining half of the time he would be with his family back in Delhi. The plants started bearing flowers from the second month onwards and the fruit was ready for plucking from the 7th month.
Seeing his commitment towards the project, his family shifted to Bangalore city so that they could be more closer to him and he could travel more frequently and easily to his farm.
While this project was not very commercially successful, he was extremely happy with his new found passion and decided to lease more land and plant more papaya.
Fueling his passion was the fact that he was able to provide a source of income for the local villagers who did not have full time jobs and the appreciation he got from several local farmers who had not seen the quality and yield of fruit he was able to grow.
Today, he has over 50 acres of owned and lease land for growing papaya, green chillies and groundnut. Along with this, he also guides local farmers by sharing best practices to help them achieve good yield.
He has also installed a greenhouse where he grows red & yellow capsicum (peppers), cucumbers, cherry tomatoes and other exotic fruits and vegetables from time to time.
